On August 19 and August 20, 2011 Egyptians mobilized for a demonstration in front of the Israeli Embassy in Egypt demanding the removal of the Israeli flag and for the Israeli ambassador to leave as an Egyptian Army officer and 2 soldiers were killed at the Israeli-Egyptian border by Israeli helicopter the day before. After hours of flag-burning trials with fire works a man called "Ahmed El-Shahat" managed to climb the embassy building, removed the Israeli flag and replaced it with the Egyptian one.
