Avrom Leshtsh [Le scaron;č] (Raseyn 1932).wmv RASYN (now: RASEINIAI), an old Lithuanian town, is best known to readers of Yiddish literature from Chaim Grade's classic "Mayn krig mit Hirsh Rasyner" (which we read here together in Vilnius several years ago in the Dr. Sheine Sideraite Reading Circle at the Jewish community, co-chaired by the late Israel Lempert, who provided profound commentary on the story). TODAY in Vilnius, the last known Rasyner is Reb Avrom Le scaron;č (Leshch), who is gabay of the Choral Synagogye on Pylimo Street (Zavalna).
