Dead Country List Dead Country Stamps and Banknotes

which ceased to exist before the end of 1955
This is my ever changing list of Dead Countries.Country can be defined pretty broadly in this case and includes: nations, colonies, occupations, puppet states, semi-autonomous states, or revolutionary governments. A fuller description can be found on myDefinitions page.
This list will probably never be complete and will continue to change as I learn new information on the history of the country and the era. With a list exceeding 650 countries,I have organized the countries into geographicregions, and further subdivided them in logical historic or geographic significance.I have nopersonal agenda driving the categories,so if anyone isbothered by my organization, I apologize in advance, and welcomepositive suggestions for improvement. In such a long list which is continuously being updated, I am not always consistent in terms or format.I will correct the errors as they become apparent.
