OPORTO, Portugal, December 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jewish Community of Oporto is already evaluating the applications of people claiming to be descendants of Portuguese Sephardic Jews and for this reason wish to obtain Portuguese nationality. According to the Regulation of the Nationality Law, which will be approved in the coming weeks, the applicant for Portuguese Nationality must first obtain a Certificate from the Portuguese Jewish Community which attests to his/her ties to a Sephardic Jewish Community of Portuguese origin.
