I recently attended the extraordinary Combat Anti-Semitism Movement Annual Summit organized by CAM (Combat Anti-Semitism Movement), a global interfaith coalition of grassroots activists, thinkers and diplomats working to create a more inclusive future and to eradicate Jew-hatred. CAM honored former US secretary of state Mike Pompeo with its first Global Leadership Award.CAMs breadth and diversity in culture, religious participation, generational inclusion, and its honoring of people working for this cause was a grateful breath of fresh air amid the present political polarization and growing incidents of antisemitic attacks. The events clear overall outcome was a well-established understanding of Israels importance as an indispensable security ally and partner for the US, and vice-versa. The innovation was in acknowledging the extraordinary beneficial potential of the Abraham Accords to the peace process. In these times of exploding antisemitism, including anti-Zionism, the Abraham Accords are a strong additional branch to the framework addressing the regions overall security needs. When he received the award, Pompeo showed what happens when people really committed to see results, allow themselves to bring creativity to an old unfruitful process

The two decisions from the International Criminal Court in the last month to move forward on an investigation of war crimes in Palestine have shaken Israel and suggested that the power politics of Israeli impunity are finally going to change. These decisions have predictably angered Israel undiluted antisemitism and its lobby spurious allegations and been condemned by the American government. They have been welcomed by Palestine, which sought the actions

The Zionist circles continued scrutinizing the recent speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah in which his eminence warned the Israeli officials against waging an all-out war on Lebanon. Experts at the Zionist Institute for National Security Studies considered that Sayyed Nasrallah is determined to maintain the balance of deterrence by striking the Israeli cities in response to any aggression on the Lebanese cities and killing an Israeli soldier whenever Israel kills any of Hezbollah fighters. The experts also indicated that Hezbollah aims at accumulating its military power and focuses on obtaining precision-guided missiles, adding that such capabilities will inflict heavy losses upon the Israeli home front during any upcoming war.

Shes convinced that there remains a large constituency for a two-state solution, at least in principle. Of course there is a huge majority that does not believe it is achievable, she said. Thats true not only in Israel, and not only on the right.

The United Kingdoms Union of Jewish Students (UJS) and Bristol Jewish Society (J-Soc) have accused Bristol University of an absolute failure of their duty of care after the school refused to condemn the anti-Semitic conduct of a sociology professor. In a statement released on Wednesday, UJS and Bristol J-Soc said their representatives had a virtual meeting with the universitys senior management a day earlier so that the school could present a set of action points they will be taking against sociology professor David Miller.

A heated debate has arisen in the last decade as to whether the contemporary anti-Zionism of progressive groups such as the BDS movement or of ideologues and activists such as Judith Butler or Noam Chomsky or Congresswoman Ilan Ohmar is a modern-day form of anti-Semitism. Arguments about double standards, free speech, the inherent right of every nation on earth to express its self-determination in the form of a state or not, the rhetoric one uses and the bedfellows one keeps, have often risen to the surface. In many ways, this intense debate sets up a false litmus test as to the problem of anti-Zionism
