Mark Levy Herald/Review The Huachucans sponsored their 5th annual Spring/Fall Raffle in which over 5,000 tickets were sold, with 80 percent of the proceeds going to area youth organizations. A drawing was held in the Mall at Sierra Vista Thursday where 10 Visa cards worth $500 each were given to winners. The 1200 Club of Greater Sierra Vista will meet on Friday evening, Nov. 15, at Pueblo del Sol Country Club. The guest speaker will be Ted Vogt, Arizona State Director of the Office for Veterans Affairs. Director Vogt will address issues and concerns regarding Arizona Veterans as well as respond to additional questions from those attending. Social time begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost of the meal is $22 per person. Reservations can be made by emailing Kathy Dolge at Kathy@Dolge Family.net. The Thunder Mountain Twirlers are having a Mainstream Square Dance on Friday, Nov. 15 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., with a plus tip at the end of the evening. Our caller will be Tom Crisp, with Lisa Wall cueing rounds. Only $4 for members, $5 for non-members, and free for non-dancers to come watch and socialize! The University of Arizona Cochise County Cooperative Extension will be presenting a free workshop on Infant Nutrition and Safe Sleep. The topics will include: infant nutrient and feeding guides, Introducing new foods, healthy sleeping habits, reducing the risk of SIDS. The Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club and the Tucson Kennel Club present the Coyote Classic Dog Shows.
