Economy trumps politics in Israeli elections With elections coming up in Israel, politicians are focusing their campaigns on what they believe Israelis care most about - the economy. The economy has been described as Prime Minister Netanyahu #39;s achilles heel, but even with the past year #39;s social protests in Tel Aviv against the high cost of living, the right is still predicted to come out on top. The left is predicted to retain a similar number of seats in the Knesset, but overal to be left-wing is not considered #39;legitimate #39; in Israeli culture
