The 26th annual PBL FFA Farm Toy Show. 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 1, Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School gymnasium, Paxton. More than 30 vendors at the show, a silent auction that ends at noon, a pedal tractor pull for kids at noon, and a concession stand throughout the day. 379-4331, danderson@pbl.k12.il.us.

Charleston Carnegie Public Library gala event. "Black, White and Read," 6 p.m. Feb. 1, Unique Suites Hotel, Banquet Room, 920 W. Lincoln Ave., Charleston. An evening celebrating the library's 110 years. Entertainment and a surprise or two. Tickets $45; includes dinner, entertainment and a program to recognize the career of Sheryl Snyder, library director from 1977 to 2009. 345-4913.
